One of my first recommendations for anyone beginning their journey into using social technologies to grow web presence is to join a group via your platform of choice whether it is Ning, Facebook, LinkedIn or so on. One of the best ways I know to experience the networking benefits of Twitter while learning how to use the tools is to join a regularly scheduled “tweetchat”.
Finally, Meryl Evans of Content Maven has compiled a list of regular tweetchats for your reference. I have actively participated in #sbbuzz and #sn4bw and I have lurked and learned through a few other chats. I use either Tweetchat.com or Tweetdeck to follow the conversation.
